I feel that there are raciest people of every origin, no one more than the other. I do have to say that when being an objecct of attacks/ racisim... Its difficult to recover and retrust though you know that not all people are like that. ie Not all arabs are terrorists, not all white people hate blacks/asians/hispanics..... and not all straights hate gays. the list goes on. The point is it may take time. and the media doesn't help. atleast 90% of tv ads are white people. But I digress, the most important thing is patience and kindness.

The discussion of race is full of double standards. But in my humble view, white people are so afraid to be labeled as a racist we don't say anything. Organizations like the United ***** College Fund, NAACP, and so on, are in essence racist. They exclude based on raced.

Society allows these things to continue out of fear. And maybe some guilt. So people feel guilty about slavery, which I admit was bad... But it was a long time ago, and no salves are alive today. So for me to pay for the sins of my ancestors is silly.

The biggest racists toady are people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, they push the race issue more than anything.

Just for the record, I'm not racist, I hate everyone equally. Actually I don't hate any "race" I just hate A$$HOLES. I do believe that every Race has racism issues. A lot of "underprivileged" black people, and Hispanic people, blame the "white man" for their troubles. My thing is, and has always been, get up off your lazy A$$ and do something positive about your situation. Quit complaining about what the whites did to you. When in reality, what was done was done to people who are no longer alive to complain.

Truly, we all have racial bias, even if we are aware of it and take steps to overcome it. I see your point and in some cases I agree with what you said. There are those who exploit it to their own benefit. That certainly undermines any attempt at harmony or solving the real issue at hand - racism.

All people are racists. It's human nature.

However, asking if Blacks are racists because they have Black-only organizations is unfair. Those organizations were put there in an honest - though faulty - attempt to compensate for the years of racist behaviour by whites in this country. It doesn't work, because many people - like you - feel that it's an expression of racism.

So, it accomplished nothing in terms of racism.

BTW, many of the legislators and judges who made those organizations possible were not Black. This is another reason why it's wrong to associate racism with Blacks because of the existence of those orgs.

Stick to the basics: it's just human nature to be racist, and that is all. There's no need to read more into the issue than that.

Having magazines cater to African American, organizations and clubs that promote blacks' unity is not racist at all. African American community, Asian American community and Latino American community exist b/c we are the minority in this country. Thus, our possition in this country is not stablize as our counterpart. Of course not all whites are racist, but certainly our experience are different. However, one have to put the situation into perspective to understand the caliber of the whole ordeal. I'll skip history 101 b/c most of us in here should know about "our history". Many minorities groups in this country are poor and often time our mindset are stuck in the "poverty-mind-trap"( believing that we cannot succeed). To explain how and why many minorities group get to become this way a lil of history and economic lesson should do the job, but i believe many of us in here are more than adequate in both field. The "poverty trap" is precisely your argguement, "it is all in there mind" and that "many do not take control and do something about it". Perhap, you are correct, but given the history of this country and economic background one should realizes that people of color do not have a fair trial to begin with. Of course opportunity are flourish in this country (that's why my family came here), but take a closer look at the situation. The Mexicans are getting unwanted job, my family work for minimum wage for years and live in crowded house to save money. African Americans are grouped in low income area and this happens b/c their grandparents didn't get the job and the education they deserve (Jim Crow, KKK, slavery ring a bell people?), as a result their parent didn't grow up in neighborhood with picket fence. And for generations African Americans were being oppressed by the idea that they are not good enough by the "N" word (what the *** ! side track info for ya...Black call themself the N word b/c they felt that no one is better than them and only they can put themself down. Although the N word has change its meaning slicly through Hip Hop over the years, but its still carry alot of weight). Of course an all black club would seem exclusive to me (Asian), but the meaning behind the club was not to create an exclusive society of black. Rather to create hope for young black males and females that "we can be rich, we have opportunities, we can be successfull like anyone else" to get the mind away from the "poverty trap'. However, there are individuals who take things out of perspective, those individuals do not represent the whole. Don't get me wrong, I know some racist black folks too, but shyt every apple's tree has bad apples and for every one no good black man there are bundreds of decent black man. We all the same, we all struggles to improve no one want to go downhill. That's life find somethng to work toward to.

Well I would say, Yes, they are.
I'm an officer and I contact a lot of different people, but every single time (no exageration) I arrest a black person, they say it's becaue they are black, i'm racist, and they didn't do anything.
The funny thing is, they know what they did, they know it wasn't because of their race, and when i'm booking them into jail, they starting yelling racial slurs at me!
I've had them say, "why dont you go back to your country you f***en mexican." And it pisses me off, becuase it's such an ignorant statement. I was born in California, just like him. Would it make sense for me to tell him to "Go back to africa." Yeah sure, let me go BACK to somewhere, I've NEVER been.
Most times their color is used as a crutch, usually so that can claim falst arrest, and harrassment, so they can try and beat their case. It gets annoying.
I wouldn't say it doesn't really matter that they have all black things, because with all the other scholarships, how many blacks get accepted when competing against everyone else? not too many. Movies, TV show and Magazines....Look how many of those dont have any black people in them, and if they do it's the token black guy, like in the movies.
So yeah, to answer your question again, they are racist, just as racist as any other person is, but it's ok, becase they were "oppressed."

Hmm, Black people are very polite here. Not to mention hard working. Of course, sometimes they speak english, and not any of the native languages.

In fact, I think it is the Russians that are the most Racist, and have been for a long time.
