Why not cash our chips in on the national debt? I see nothing wrong with legalizing gambling. After all, the lottery is gambling. I never understood why it was outlawed to begin with. Nevada has no state income tax, yet they have one of the highest budget surpluses from all the casinos. We have to do something to get our economy moving and pay off our debt. If I'm wrong about legalizing gambling, then I guess all bets are off. :)

No. It should be left up to the states just as it is now. If it was legalized nationally, too many federal laws would be made and it would just add too much muck to it.
The states are suppose to have some sovereignty under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. The federal government has already taken way too much power away from the states. Why would we want them to take more?

Many people lost all their money even their home because of gambling. I think it's no point to spend so many money on gambling rather to do some thing else good for yourself or other people. |
