If they have a uniform requirement and you allowed your son to go without his complete uniform, then yes, you violated school policy and your son will suffer the consequences. Next time make sure he wears the complete uniform. |

If that is what you agreed to when you enrolled - then yes. It sounds pretty ridiculous to me, but if you made a deal with them you should stick to it.
By this I mean - if the school told you the rules beforehand then it is fair. |

It sounds outrageous...but his attendence is contingent upon his ability to follow the rules...whether he likes them or not.
SO in short, yes. |

Why is he not wearing them? If that is what the school states then presumably unless there is a good reason (other than he doesn't like them) he should adhere to the school rules. Tough lessons in life I am afraid - you don't always get what you want. |

Why was he expected to wear them? Had he forgotten his own?
Could the school have found itself outside local laws if they had not required your son to wear these shoes?
It does seem an odd rule, but need more information to decide if 'fair' or not. |

If he broke the rules. I am willing to bet that this is NOT the first infraction with your son. RARELY do schools expel a kid for breaking a dumb rule. But if it has been an ongoing problem with your son, then it is just. Please don't be one of those parents that stand up for you kid against the establishment just because you don't want your kid to be in trouble. I think that unless things are REALLY unfair, should you defend your kid. But, despite what you may think, schools are not about kicking kids out of school or making some kid miserable. I tell my own kids that if they got in trouble, 99.9% of the time I will be on the school's side. Life isn't always fair. I trust their teachers to be honest and just in their decisions. And, I make it my business to know them and be nice to their teachers. I also know what my kids are capable of. They are not angels all the time. |

I wouldn't let my child ATTEND a school that made him wear other people's shoes! Ludicrous! |

Is it a public school? If so, then they should have to accept any child, no matter what they wear. If it's a private school, you chose it, so just pick a new one. |
