Do you trust your neighbors to help you in an emergency?

Yes my neighbors on the left hand side of my house would do anything for us but my right side i don't know them very well so I'm not sure

Yes. We have a long established understanding and communication system in my neighborhood, most have lived here for years. Neighborhood watch, etc.

Yes, both of my neighbor have my house keys in case of an emergency. Where all very close and good friends.

Yes. Most of them would happily help out because I have put in the time to chat with them and help when I can. You get out what you put in in most cases.

Trusting someone who lives next door to you, only depends on who actually lives there. If its someone you've never talked to, but looks harmless, I would suggest yes, ask them. Seeing as to how my neighbor is a lieutenant in the army, I trust him.

I wish I could but evidently not. (granted I'm a police officer, and i was off duty) My neighbor's house across the street caught fire one night about 3 am. I heard a small explosion jumped outta bed, waking up my dog and my girlfriend, bolted to the window to see smoke pouring from their garage. I ran across the street in my gym shorts and boots, while my girlfriend called it in, busted down their front door to clear the house. The mother was outside screaming bloody murder about her daughter caught in her bedroom and as I came out with her youngin' I noticed the rest of the neighbor just standing there on their front steps. I went back to clear the building and when I came out when the Fire and rescue were arriving most of the people around us were just gathered standing there.
These people lost their pet lab and the dad was badly burned. I'm not sure what else could have been done, but something other than standing there.
