No. I do not believe smoking marijuana is wrong or immoral. I have never smoked it in my entire life. I do believe it is dangerous to your health, but so are other legal substances.

Depends how you define wrong. It's illegal and stupid, but not in and of itself immoral. (Unless your morals hold that illegal acts are immoral because of their illegality.)

No, the only harm marijuana can do to you is cause minor respiratory problems, but that is only if you do not smoke it through a filter like a bong or vaporizer. That way you're only smoking the THC which only has positive affects, and not smoking the leaves and cannabinoids.

- Marijuana has never been proven to kill brain cells. This myth is one of the ones from the reefer madness era that still lives on today.

- Marijuana is not physically addictive. If you quit you will only have mental urges but your body will not suffer any harmful symptoms of withdrawal.

- Marijuana is definitely not a gateway drug. Most people who smoke marijuana only smoke and do no other drugs.

- There is not one death related directly to marijuana in 5,000 years of recorded use.

- There is a children's book title "It's Just a Plant". It is about a child who sees his parents smoking marijuana. They don't tell him it is bad, they tell him it is something that is for responsible adults and should not be used by children.

- The government wastes over $100 Billion annually on the war on drugs. They need to wake up and see that legalization is the only way they can save the economy.

It's no more immoral or wrong than drinking is -- less, probably, since it's not as harmful. A stupid, intrusive, nannying law is a stupid, intrusive, nannying law, and I don't see anything immoral about flouting it.

I believe that each person should have the right to choose to smoke it or not. Too many deep pockets get full off of the mj trade. Money exchanges hands and they get richer, who ever "they" are....lol.... too much money is to be made off of it illegally to make it legal.

i understand that going to jail is bad and all but isn't standing up for what you believe in more honorable? prohibition is immoral and wrong. this is a free country let us decide. how is it that a law conceived out of racism for profit is still a law today, sometimes i really wanna shed some tears because its horrible what were doing to smokers and there families.

I'll tell you what's immoral. An oversized government making tax payers pay $50,000,000,000 a year to micromanage people's lives. Many people are dying at sea and many more are dying on the streets because of these strict drug laws.

Anyone who chooses to take marijuana rather by eating it smoking it or how ever they decide is doing Absolutely nothing wrong. that is like saying looking at the stars is illegal cause it makes your neck hurt. there is no reason for any government to be able to say that a natural plant is bad and you cant grow it. Its wild. its a damn weed. If its bad than why do we have receptors in our brain for this plants chemicals? Our body's and brains would not have evolved to the point of having receptors for a plant chemical if it wasn't needed. This topic can go on and on and on in so many different directions that it is pointless even arguing over it. Basically the government needs to be smart on drugs not stupid like they have been in the past. The laws put in place by our government are completely separate from morality. What if immoral people put a law into place that is equally as immoral, how does our defiance of that law make our action immoral?

Someone said that if it's legal in another country it's okay to smoke but since it's illegal here it's immoral to smoke. I couldn't be anymore confused about that logic even if I tried to read it in Braille. Legal and illegal are not synonymous to right and wrong. That sort of thinking is what has given our government so much power (too much power, some might say).

There are countries in this world being run by horrible tyrants that are willing to go to extreme measures to get what they want. Bloodshed and pain, using the logic that laws=morality, then we should conclude that it's moral to kill other people for our own personal gain because their government says so. Our government isn't innocent of wrong doing and it certainly exists with measurable amounts of corruption.

All that being said, our government allows alcohol and tobacco to be legal. Two substances that are very dangerous, yet they choose to condemn marijuana smokers? It's completely hypocritical.

it shouldnt be illegal, it grows naturally and its not a drug, drugs u have to mix chemicals and other things with it, marijuana grows from the ground, so no i dont think its immoral or wrong

Its more immoral and wrong to smoke cigarettes due to the health of not only the smoker, but everyone around the smoker...and cigs are legal. Same with Alcohol. The effects of both can prove injury to oneself or another..where as MJ, there are no ramifications...other than a contact high..which is nothing compared to lung cancer, liver toxicity or a drunk driving accident

I don't think that it is immoral. What makes it wrong is that it is against the law so until such time as it isn't illegal anymore, we just can't do it. Yes, I do believe that you are doing something wrong if you are breaking the law because otherwise you are putting yourself above all others. There are exceptions to everything. I think that a person suffering with cancer who would be helped by smoking pot should do so. Do I think that smoking it for recreational use is wrong? Yes, because it's illegal and that's the bottom line. Work at getting it legalized if you need someway to express yourself. I never judge a person by something like smoking pot, it's just not a big deal but who wants to be caught and go to jail or simply be arrested? Not me,

if you were to smoke it in a country where it is legal, i would have absolutely no problem with it.

however here, if you are smoking mj, you are contributing to and funding a criminal organization who got you the mj, and most of those organizations commit horrible atrocities in the world. and THAT is wrong.
