a friend told me it is illegal to babysit from your home in the state of MI unless you are certified. I'm not saying my friend would lie to me but I would just like to see this for myself. If you know what I mean. Anyone know of any websites I can go to to find this out? And don't tell me there are no laws it's just up to the parents because I know that's just bologna because there has to be some sort of laws especially nowadays.

Okay. I live in Michigan and I am pretty sure that there is a law like that BUT only if you are opening a daycare. I've looked all over and my aunt works for the Secretary of State.
Unless you are opening a day care and taking care of multiple kids, then it would be illegal.
I just called my mom and she agreed with me. So you can babysit like friends and family or "clients" only if it's not like a daycare. |
