Where? There are close to 1 million police officers in the US, for example, and each motorized officer will drive far more than a member of the general public . Therefore, just looking at accident statistics, there will be a few thousand accidents t per year even in 'normal' driving.
Add in high speed pursuit or response, and even more will occur, of course. In general, police officers have less accidents per mile than a 'normal' driver. In the vast majority of police/civilian crashes, it is the civilian who is at fault. Not all, of course, they are human, but the majority are the fault of the civilian who ignored the police sirens and lights. |
