A good question! perhaps the New Labour government should have built a few more jails in their ten years of office, I'm not happy about the Home Office sending letters to Judges telling them only to send "dangerous" criminals to prison! What the hell is Dangerous,someone who breaks into my home is Dangerous to me! a Paedophile is Dangerous to children! Who draws the line? I wouldn't trust this government to do that!!! (Note spelling of Paedophile)

Pedophile, and yes it worries me a lot. We had a registered one on our street a few houses down. It caused some major problems and we had to move. Personally I think they should all be shot. But no, they let them out so they can victimize their own and other people's children.

How much do you want a bet that theres room in prison for a granny who refuses on principle to pay her Council Tax? The Government is scared to sh*t about people like her, if someone realises they can get away without paying tax - everyone will be at it. So you can be sure that, from the Governments perspective, paedophiles are a hell of a lot less dangerous then someone refusing to pay a tax.

It worries me alot that prisons allow pedophiles, thieves, murderers, and other criminals out into the public without any "rehabilitation."
Not that you can rehabilitate pedophiles. Ninety-seven percent CANNOT be persuaded to change.
Why are there so many people in prisons who are there for minor offenses when they continue to release hardened criminals to alleviate overcrowding? It does not make any sense to me at all.

Most bail hostels are in and around working class areas, these are where such people end up, on our doorstep, not living next door to those who let them out.

Its not so much the release its whether or not they can keep tabs on them. I ended up living with one in a relationship and we had children, because there was not a tight enough watch put on him.

In the newspaper the other day I read that the Government are going to build another prison. Isn't that good its only took them three terms in office and numerous meetings to come up with this solution.
As for releasing paedophiles I believe these sc**bags should get life in prison with no release. The ministers or the PC brigade who campaign for their release should be made to live next door to these fiends

I'm not worried at all. When I was a kid (like 30 years ago, before pedophiles were a big thing), my parents educated me very well into avoiding predators, and not falling to their tricks. My kids have been similarly educated, if anything happens to them, it was an act of god that probably could not have been prevented anyway.

If kids from other parents are not properly educated in pedophile and predator avoidance, it's not the predator that needs be hanged, the stupid parents should go first.
