No.
Christianity does not have authority over the civil authority.
But God does have authority of Christians.
Christians reside in their own nations, but as resident aliens. They participate in all things as citizens and endure all things as foreigners. They obey the established laws and their way of life surpasses the laws.
The citizen is obliged in conscience not to follow the directives of civil authorities when they are contrary to the demands of the moral order, to the fundamental rights of persons or the teachings of the Gospel.
We must obey God rather than men. (Acts 5:29)

Not unless the pope takes over the U.S. Nothing can abolish a U.S. law, unless the supreme court strikes it down. |

No. The pope is in a completely different country, and doesn't have complete rule over the world. If he did, we'd all be screwed. |

Of course not. We have a separation of church and state. No religious leader has any say over our laws other than to express their opinions. |

The pope has nothing to do with US government. He cannot make, enforce or abolish any law unless it is church law. While there is separation of church and state in this country, the right wing does overtime to have US laws abolished that do not agree with the church. Sometime it works for them, sometimes not. |
