Friend of mine has been getting threats for months now, some physical, and many that say that her facebook profile, skype, msn, etc... is going to be hacked and he will do malicious things once done so. He is able to do these things as he's done it in the past.
If these threats are saved via text or email, can they be used to press charges? And is invading someone's profile on facebook illegal?

It's not identity theft until the person follows through with it, but he IS getting harrassed and stalked and bullied. This sort of thing is serious.
Yes, you can use the saved messages and text's against them - take your friend to the police and report it before it gets worse.
and hacking someones anything - be in their facebook, myspace, twitter, email, blog, YA! account etc - is illegal. |

Invading someone's profile on any type of blog is illegal. If you have proof of his threats, then you should report him because hacking is against the law unless done by someone who works for the police, the FBI, the CIA...etc. |
