my guy friend got caught with parafrenalia for marijuana use, i am wondering what his punishment will be because his record is a little more serious
So he has a few misdemenors on his record, hes 19 and has been dealing with the same judge since 14 (he got in alot of trouble as a minor) he also has a really bad rep for not showing to his court dates. So with all of that, what is going to be his punishment? he currently has a warrant for this charge because he didnt show up to court... Is he going to get jail time? like i said before, this is his first drug charge but has a few small crimes on his record.

Your BF is now an adult with what appears to be a record of noncompliance. Although his juvenile record is suppose to be behind him, he's dealing with the same judge. (judges remember repeat offenders).
In Az, for a paraphernalia possession charge, a prosecutor has the discretion to charge you with a misdemeanor or felony and judges have the authority to give you up to 6 mo - to 1.5 years in jail and up to $ 150,000 fine. Your BF needs an attorney. |
