Elian Gonzalez was illegal, why do people forget that? He didn't make it to American Soil on his own, which is the requirement for Cuban refugees, he was brought in by an American Fisherman, which made him an Illegal.

Rounding up illegals on a person to person basis is the worst possible way to handle the situation. It costs us money to do so, and for everyone we locate, detain and deport, 5 more will enter the country. When ants invade your home, you don't squish them one at a time, you remove the food they are seeking and you lay down traps to eliminate large groups of them at a time.

To handle illegals, we need to change our policies regarding legal entrance into the country and we need to fine and punish business that hire them. Cut out their food supply and control their entry in the country.

You do realize that would require that every white person get sent back to Europe, don't you?

How would you define an illegal immigrant. Based on answers I have received to this question from others:

1) Someone who comes to a country they were not born without the permission of the government in charge of that country; or was born to parents who did this

2) Does not carry proof that they have the permission of the government to be in that country

3) Often takes resources without giving anything back to the community in which they have entered

4) And usually commits crimes against the native populace

Now, tell me, do you have the permission of any Native American tribal governments to be here? Do you have any written permission from any Native American tribal government to be here? How much do you give back to ANY Native American tribe now here? And do you consider attempted genocide, whether successful or not, to be a crime?

Remember that when white people came, they did not get permission. They repeatedly took land and resources without permission, dishonored agreements made with the native peoples, massacred entire civilizations, and actually exterminated more than one tribe. Even now, not a one of you has the permission of any Native American tribe to be here. You are the descendant of illegal immigrants, making you nothing more than an anchor baby.

And for the record, Governor Jan Brewer of Arizona is correct when she says that 17% of illegal immigrants (the ones she considers illegal, anyway), do commit violent crimes here. What she forgets to mention, however, is that 34% of Americans do the exact same thing. That is literally twice as much on a per capita basis; and significantly more than twice as much on a purely numbers basis.

You want to do this, fine. Show me you believe it by going back to Europe yourself. If you believe that the only one who has the right to the land are the natives of that land, then go back to your native land and get the hell off my property. I'm sure there will be many who will be glad to be rid of you.

But if you choose to believe as I believe, then you must believe that God made land, God made humans, and then He gave that land as a gift to the humans. To ALL humans. It would be wrong of me to take away His gift to you; but by the same token, it would be wrong of you to take that gift from any other.

The Mexicans have a right to be here, because God gave them this land as a gift, just like He gave it to you. I do not want to answer to God for taking away His gift to His children; so I refuse to take that gift from them. If you want to answer to God, by all means play this game. But hold yourself to your own standard, and go back to Europe.

And then we will see if everyone, including you, is happy...
