Emancipation In Illinois?

ok so me and my mom needs to know a few things about emancipation Illinois. im 16, dropped out(home school) trying to get my ged, looking for a job, cant get my permit for driving, thats my info. her and i were wanting to know if i could get emancipated for money issues, she said she would sign any papers, i am an mature minor, i am willing to find a place to live and a job, dont have any felons. this is all cuz my family is low on money for the last few years, my mother is disabled, my dad left me and her when i was 4, we have 4 other kids in our house, but i can get a job now, but not a full time. im trying to get into college, im getting the stuff ready for it but not having my ged is holding me back, from what i know emancipation would let me get it.
so if any of you could point me into the right direction, thanks all

How, may I ask, is emancipation going to help with money?

How can you be ready for college if you dropped out of high school? You do realize that all the classes you failed in high school, are the same core classes you have to take in college right? Just at a higher level?

You're 16, get a part time job, finish high school and then plan on college.

Aside form the common sense aspect of this all, I fail to see where you qualify for emancipation. In order to be emancipated, you have to show three major things.

1) You have to be able to support yourself, rent utilities groceries etc on your own, no living with family, no room mate, on your own. Right now you have no job.

2) As a rule your parents have to agree, this apparently is no problem.

3) You have to show where it is in the best interest of the child. How can a 16 year old drop out with no job, show the court that it is in their best interest to be emancipated?

More than likely with your current status you would not be able to get emancipated. You have to have a job that allows you to pay for rent, food, utilities, transportation, healthcare and other essential needs. You cannot rely on anyone else to help you financially. You are going to have to show you can hold a job which means more than just getting a job. In this job market you are going to have a rough time finding one that will be reliable and allow you to completely support yourself.

You're going to have to be going to get some sort of classes or taking the test for your GED. Being emancipated or not doesn't matter. It doesn't help or hurt your chances of getting a GED. Without that or working towards that you are not going to be able to get emancipated.

It's best you find a job and help support your mom with your paycheck than to get emancipated. It costs money to get emancipated as well, where are you going to come up with the hundreds or thousands of dollars to do so?
