Employees Rights in Texas against name calling and payroll deductions?

The president of the company has a tendency to call people "stupid" as in "Why are you so stupid?" Or instead of calling them by their name he will call them "Stupid, what are you thinking?". And, recently while looking for new insurance he let the plans overlaps and took out an addtl $40 out of our checks to cover his mistake. So is it legal to call us stupid and to deduct our checks for a mistake he made.

First, your employer cannot deduct anything from your check without getting your authorization, except for taxes and court ordered garnishments.

As far as name calling, you can probably sue him for creating a hostile work environment. But you have to ask yourself if it is worth the effort. Be sure you have a another job lined up, though.
