i have a court date in a few days for minor possession of alchohol in pasadena california, and i dont have enough money at hand to go to court, who do i call to extend it and will they accept if i told them i dont have enough money right now? and i am 18 years old at the moment , i was 17 when i got the ticket.
any help would be great

For you to get a continuance you would need to file a motion with the court, however your best approach would be to go to court as scheduled and request a payment plan the court will allow it and you have solved your problem.~ |

You don't need money to go to court. If a fine is imposed, and you need time to pay it, they will allow that. However, you should be aware that a conviction of this offense will result in a 1-year suspension of your drivers license. You may want to consult with an attorney (if this is charged as a misdemeanor, you will have the right to appointed counsel), or (if you cannot do so) discuss options to conviction with the court or prosecutor. |
