Finding a pro bono lawyer for a woman with cancer?

I was browsing the Volunteers section of Craigslist and found a woman who has really bad cancer. She's been getting radiation. Apparently, when her daughter was 7 years old, she gave her to her mother (the child's grandmother) to raise. The child is now 18, and they are trying to collect child support money from this woman who is really sick with cancer and going through treatment.
She said she's been trying to babysit for money, but isn't well. What can I do to help her? The ad wasn't asking for money; it was asking for a pro bono lawyer who might be reading to help.
I think she's just asking for more time, as she doesn't have the funds available and obviously isn't in a nice position. I'm not a lawyer, but who can I put her in touch with? I called the United Way and another helpline here in my city, but they keep saying "We don't do child support cases" kind of rudely.
I think the amount she's required to pay is around $200 a month. Another question I have is: what will they do to her? In other words, if she represents herself, will they likely throw her in jail with cancer, or take away her license? Would it be beneficial if I called individual attorneys' offices and asked them about pro bono work?

You can have her check with a Legal Services office in the area. They provide pro bono representation. Of course, they are in demand, so I do not know if they would take the case. I would doubt you would have much luck simply calling attorney's offices, but I guess it couldn't hurt.
I doubt they will throw her into jail, and taking away her license does not make a whole lot of sense to me. Part of it depends on what exactly they are doing to try to collect child support. Have they involved the courts, or are they simply having their attorney make threats?
