Let it go. |

Leave it be and get another job. Obviously you were fired because of your age limitations. |

just go find another job.
You could have told them no and stated the law when they told you to work in those areas and times. |

Unemployment compensation, as of late, is based on your previous year's earnings. So-o-o-o-o, I don't think you'd get very much. Hey, you're just starting out. The restaurant business is vast. Try to find something more to your liking. Good luck. |

WOW THATS CRAZY. BUT I THINK THAT YOU HAVE TO WORK THERE FOR AT LEAST A YEAR TO GET ANYTHING BACK. SO ITS UP TO YOU. |
|

Reductio ad Absurdum
|
God, they help you out hiring you illegally, and then when they fire you you have a problem even though you worked all that time knowing you were doing illegal things. You're the problem with society. They didn't drag your *** into work at 7am, you clearly wanted the job. |

Report it to the labor board and McDonald's regional and national headquarters. It was illegal for them schedule you like they did, if you were fired for your age limitations alone then it was also illegal for them to fire you. The hired you, knowing your age, they can't turn around and fire you because of it.
You won't get money, but by reporting them you will help keep other underage kids they hire from being exploited. |
|

What You Talkin' About?
 |
I would tell you to report it to the Dept of Labor, but that is a complete waste of time. I was let go 2 days after coming off of Family Leave. I filed a complaint but NOTHING ever came of it. They didn't even investigate it.
So the advice you see here to move on and get another job is probably the best. |

Just let it be, and look for something else. |

If it was illegal for them to request those things of you, it was also illegal for you to do them. Be careful about opening a can of worms! |

There is no telling when the boss you irritate today will be in a new place in the future and become your "new" boss. Also its hard to say what is said about you "unofficially" between two people that know each other over lunch. Somehow... someday ... a new perspective employer may be turned away from you over just such a meeting. THE BEST policy is peace. Whats fair and what isn't fair has nothing to do with how things go. What you want is low profile.... you will be MUCH more successful doing things that way. |

What they did was illegal, but unless you have copies of your employee TIME CARD, they can dispose of that rather readily and poof, there goes any PROOF of your statements about work times.. As for working the grill and fried foods, you would have to get someone to testify that you were FORCED to work on those sections and someone would have to agree to say they SAW you working them... good luck... you DID find out the reason they gave for FIRING you didn't you????? I would do THAT at least if I were you.... However, you would only have a claim against them if you could absolutely PROVE the work times and stations... and trust me, McDonalds has much better lawyers then YOU could afford.... |

do you know why you were fired?
if they had legitimate reasons for firing you then let it go.
if you think they are out of order then ask for a meeting (if you can be bothered) and point out the way they were working you illegally.
might just get you another job there legally.
if not, then move on and look elsewhere. |

I can understand why they fired you. Why don't you think about doing a good job instead of how you can screw your employer? |
