i am going on probation for 6 months and i was given a sheet to fill out. it asks fo the names and addresses and phone numbers of 5 of my friends, acquantances, family, etc. I have not filled out form yet as it was given to me to take home to fill out. I asked the probation officer if she planned on contacting these people to tell them i was on probation and she said "no". So why does she need the names, addreses, etc of 5 people i know? I am afraid! please help. thank you.

You are on probation and everything you are asked for is done to enable the Probation Officer to contact you if you don't show up, she/he has to change an appointment. The information give at the probation office is confidential and will not be given to anyone. I work in Misdemeanor Probation.... |

So if u miss calling in for probation, she can look for you. You now bleong to the state, everything u do has to go thru your PO. If u dont want to follow those rules, then u can do the rest of your time in jail. |

Don't give her friends numbers etc. Just give her your Mom, & dads numbers and work numbers too, if you have a job, it would be good to write down that too. |
