Golddigger

Here is the scenario. My 90 year old Grandfather married a 63 year old woman a year and a half ago. After my Grandmother died, he fell into a depression over being so lonely and missing her. He would have married anything with two legs, just to have some company and someone to talk to, despite his 6 children. This woman is a ex (?) drug addict, with a son in prison. She is in debt, with no insurance, and my Grandpa is a vet who has great healthcare treatment for him and his spouse. Sure enough, after they were married she began having a million surgeries. She is very unhealthy, probably in worse shape than my Grandpa whose 30 years older. One of the first things she did was take him to a lawyer and re-drafted the will. None of his children (my mother included), or his grandchildren have any idea how it has been altered. Before my Grandmother died, she had money put aside for her children and grandchildren that my Grandpa could not touch. This woman, we'll call her Golddigger, has recently hired an attorney (with my Grandpa's money), to go through all the records to make sure she knows where all the money is - aka this one fund from my Grandmother that she hasn't been able to get her hands on. My Grandpa, being 91, is kind of out of it, and doesn't understand what is going on. Whenever any of his children approach him about Golddigger, he becomes very defensive. After a bad fall, he is in a home, temporarily, and Golddigger was escorted out the other day after he got very upset at her for trying to get him to sign something. In the last year, Golddigger has been drugging him to keep him calm; giving him higher dosages than prescribed of his medications. My Grandfather can be an angry and mean old man sometimes, and that was her way of dealing with him. Meanwhile, she has been spending his money and funneling a great amount to her recently released from prison son. Things recently took a turn for the worst when my mom and aunts/uncles received letters from Golddiggers attorneys she's hired to look through all the financial information to make sure she is getting all the money she can possibly get at. What, if any, legal action can we take? My Grandfather is out of it most of the time, and completely helpless to her. Mix that with his pride, and refusal to admit his mistake in marrying her, it leaves the battle fully up to the children and grandchildren. This woman comes into our lives, lives we've all spent as a family together, and in one year rocks the boat so hard, and takes away money and security that my Grandfather and Grandmother originally set up for the children and grandchildren. Any ideas would be much appreciated, or referrals to other resources, etc. Thanks so much
