Got caught using a phone while driving should i go court or just pay the fine and get the points?

but i wernt on the phone

Pay the fine. Save yourself time and more money, and save the courts time.

Currently, you don't get points on your license.

Also, courts really do take a harsh stance on this type of thing.

EDIT: If you weren't on the phone, by all means, take it to the court hearing. The police will have to produce evidence (usualyy from their dashcams) that you were on the phone. Ultimately, if it comes down to your word against theirs they may drop the matter.

Its not your word against theirs at all - they can trace whether you were on th phone or not, so if you weren't then you need to go to court. I'd hazard a guess however that you should just pay the fine though because I can't even see you and, sorry, but I just don't believe you so I don't think you have much chance in court. but if you can prove you were not on the phone you should go fot it.

If you got a tough fine, you could go to court and plead for a fine reduction, promise not to do it again since you've learned your lesson. You'll prob get a reduction in the fine, but points won't likely be taken off. But if the fine isn't too steep, paying it will be better than all the hassle.

You say you got caught using a phone while driving, how so if you weren't?

Everyone knows that it is illegal and potentially lethal to use a phone while driving and there has been a huge publicity campaign against the practise.

You ignored them and got caught, so stop whinging and pay the fine.

You were caught, you're guilty, what are you going to do in court? Pay the fine, save some time.

Pay the fine, get the points and hopefully learn from your mistake.

The Wail of a Banshee
I would pay the fine if I had the option because you wont win if you go to court.

stickadiddle
Pay the fine, you could have killed someone.
How can you say you weren't on the phone and also say that you got caught on the phone? You either were or you weren't!

Edit. To the troll who gave me a thumbs down. Which part of my answer did you not agree with?
