Growing Marijuana for personal use in Ireland?

How many marijuana plants am i allowed to grow for it to be considered personal use in Ireland?

The possession of Marijuana plants for personal use in Ireland is an offence and is punishable by a fine on the first or second conviction.

In Ireland, they treat growing marijuana harshly. But I'd imagine it would be no more than 5 plants.
I'd suggest only growing 2 or 3. Seriously, do you know how much weed you get from one plant? If you grow indoors, you can expect about 1 to 3 ounces of weed plant. If you grow outdoors, expect 10 to 16 ounces per plant. 2 plants will last you a really long time.
An ounce is 28 grams. The average person smokes 2 grams when they get high. Most people only smoke about twice a week. So that is 4 grams a week. An ounce will last you for 7 weeks. Most plants yield about two ounces, so it could last you 14 weeks. 2 plants would last you 28 weeks- 6 to 7 months. And since growing weed only takes 3 to 4 months, you would have a good supply.
