HELLO i m vinod from india,got a winning notice from australia lottery,they ask $ 5200 for insu-deli why?

i got a winning notice from australia international lottery,in which i have posted application form and driving license which they have ask.After short period i received a mail asking me to pay 5200 $ in name of ogidi rowland agent in western/moneygram for insurance and claim affidevit ,i got this mail form mr steve (garanty trust bank) asking me to pay. I m coming from lower middle class,and its impossible for me to get 5200 $ into indian currency (2,64,000 Rs ),I need your help to get me the winning amount if its not spam.

it's a scam.. check www.snopes.com search for lottery or UK lottery (the australian one is just another version of the UK one).. People have already lost lots of money to them.. Don't give them anymore info than you already have!

It's not real - no lottery asks winners for insurance money - this is a cruel scam. I bet you didn't enter the Australian Lottery, did you? I'm sorry you've been the victim of this hoax - please don't send them your money, you will get nothing in return.

Do not send any money. You have not won anything.
Genuine lotteries would send you the money without requiring anytghing other than an identity check.
This is a scam to get your money off you.
DONT fall for it.
You dont make it clear whether you entered the lottery or they just asked you for the information.
In any case dont send any money.

It's a scam - you are being ripped off by criminals! If you did not participate in this lottery, then you cannot possibly be winner. If you took part in a lottery, the lottery company are not going to ask you to pay a fee, you will have already paid your entry fee.

You are being ripped off - it's a scam, otherwise known as phisting. These criminals want your bank details so they can screw you for your money or use your account for money laundering.

Have nothing further to do with it.

Please Vinod, I understand that you want to believe that you won, after all it's a big sum of money they promised. It is not true. If you send them the money, either they will ask for more later, and or disappear completely. If you are so ready to give away so much for empty promises, then better still, just spend the money on your family. This is a SCAM. please ignore it.

I'm sorry that some lowlife has preyed upon your dreams and hopes, but this is a well-known scam. I don't know about India, but in the USA it works like this: They get your name out of the phonebook, send you a letter claiming you won the lottery (which doesn't exist) in a foreign country, collect a bunch of information from you for the purpose of identity theft, then ask you to cover the fees before they pay you the winnings. You give them the money, get nothing in return, they get credit cards in your name, and you feel like a fool.
I suggest that you go to the police.

Do you even remember going into a Lottery in Australia??? This has SCAM written all over it. Did they provide you with a website address, physical address and a proper phone number to contact them if you need to? If you really did WIN the money, they wouldnt charge you to get it.

It is a scam. Any time you have to pay to get your "winnings" you aren't a winner, you are a loser because they will take the money you put down and you will never hear from them again.
