Not by a long shot! All I can come up with is HUMAN NATURE. I grew up being told that America is a melting pot of all races. It was my understanding that everyone is equal.

Unfortunately, we will never be able to eliminate racism. Possibly thousands of years down the road when everyone has been interbred and we are all mulatto's of the same color. But that still doesn't solve the religious, cultural, etc. racism |

The short answer is no ******* way!! The long answer is you cannot undo centuries of atrocities in 40 years( the civil rights were passed in the 1960's) without some serious work, and America is not interested in doing that. The proof of that is all around from our educational system to our jail system.Even the way the Hurricane Katrina survivors were "rescued" is evidence that WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. |
