I read an article in a British newspaper that Obama took 500 staff persons with him to England. That didn't include the 200 Secret Service people. the article also said he took a fleet of helicopters, the limosine, as well as food and water to eat and drink while there. True or not?

I don't know if Obama did that or not. However, I can tell you that it is common for the President to take EVERYTHING he needs with him while travelling; including, limos, helicopters, food, an army of secret service agents, etc. Its the only way to ensure the safety of the President. As far as the 500 staff people, I have no idea but would imagine that there is a fairly large group of people who travel with him on Air Force One. |

The specifics may be a bit off.. but generally speaking, yes, the US presidents travel with full staff, security and everything else in tow. This is not specific to Obama. It's the norm. |

It's a modern thing. Bush and Clinton traveled much in the same way. And, yes, they do bring all their transport needs with them. |
