Yes - an 82 year old hit and run victim who turned out to be my friends great uncle. Unfortunately he died a few days later in hospital.

(Basically - I cleared blood and teeth out his mouth and opened his airway)

Yes....did the Heimlich maneuver on a woman on the floor who'd already turned blue by the time I got to her. She'd swallowed a large chunk of roast beef that lodged in her airway. Found out later she was just fine after being checked at the hospital.

My other half is a firefighter, so has done so on a number of occasions.

perhaps I did. many years ago when I was in grade 12, everyone waiting for the school bus would rush it as it pulled up. a boy around 12 yrs old was pushed down under the bus as it was still moving. I managed to pull him out by his jacket collar just before the front wheel was gonna roll over him. I think I was as scared as he was

yes, i stopped i guy, a stranger, from "jumping" i don't think i took it too seriously at the time, as he was really lost and depressed and i thought he would just try again some other time... he saw me about 6mths later and came up to me and thanked me for saving his life, not only from jumping.... but the experience helped him get his life back together again.
i can't tell you how good that feels to know that you have really managed to help someone and wish i could thank him for letting me know that i did.

yes i think a man fainted while he was sitting in a bus and the door beside him was open he was about to fall so i hold him if i was a minute to late i think he would be bad injured

yes i saved a little boy from drowning in a pool.

my sis try to kill herself, she took more than 200 pills in 2 hours and woke me up to take her to the hospital then she would not drink the charcoal that they use to make you puke up the drugs she only drank it becausei told her she had too. so yes i saved my sis that night and now she barely talks to me anymore.

I don't think so. The closest I've probably come is making sure someone who is suicidal got help, but I'll never know if they really would have done it or not.

I rescued a toddler on 42nd street from running into the road while her mum and friend was still in the shop. I didn't know which was mum/ friend obviously and gave her to the friend, you should have heard her yell at the mum!! So not really a true save, but had the potential to be!

yes...many times both in Army life and as a life guard on the Isle of white... ( My 10 y/o Daughter saved me from choking about 6 months ago..!! ....)..

Oh and my wife cant cook .... so i guise she saves my life every day by asking me to cook Dinner.!! ( only time will tell ) :(

Yes. I was working in a factory,and this kid nearly cut his hand off. I wrapped the wound up, and held direct pressure all the way to the hospital. We had to ride in the back of a pickup truck and it was cold outside.When we finally got to the hospital, the stupid admissions nurse insisted on seeing the wound. I unwrapped his hand, and guess what spewed all over her desk?

Yes ex paramedic ,great feeling when it all comes together its a great buzz.but there are always some you can do nothing for and that's a great low and even with all the skills you have and equipment you get very frustrated.All respect to Joe public if they succeed with little of anything.Don't forget that you save someones life every day by your actions,Safe driving for instance.
