Someone owes my fiancee money but she doesn't think she has a case and she thinks its not worth the money to file a civil lawsuit.
Additional Details
Some one owes my wife money and she thinks it costs too much to consult a lawyer or file for a suit. What can I do?

It greatly depends who owes the money, what it is owed for, and if there was a promissory note. Can she prove that it was a loan and not a gift? If this is an ex, she will have a hard time doing this. If the amount of money is small, her best bet would be small claims court. She can also sue for attorney's fees, but she has to have proof that this was a loan. |
