How can i find out if my neighbors did a background check on me?

Do a background check on him and see what turns up.

As saved by points out, there are all kinds of background checks. I turn my head to do a background check on every cute guy that walks past me. Love those tight little backgrounds!

The only way to find out is to ask him. There are many avenues one can use to do a background check.

Roter Chaot is partially correct, you need a social security number to do a complete background check but....
You can look up all kinds of criminal information without one. Most states have web site where you can look up someones criminal charges because these are a matter of public record. My daughters friend does it all the time whenever she meets a new guy, she checks him out for criminal stuff. You can see how much back child support someone owes, what they have been convicted of, etc. All you need is a name.
Here in Minnesota, go to Minnesota Criminal Records and all you need is a name or a name and birth date and you got what you need, no cost, no social security number.
You may not be able to find out if a he did such a checkup unless you straight out ask. Some people are pretty paranoid about who thier neighbors are. Sounds like your neighbor is either that or plain nosy.

Any one can doa background check on anyone they want ..just pay $10 buck on the internet and poof it magically appears...why not ask him.

If your neighbor has the software he/she still would need your social security number to conduct a background check--remember that you have to sign a form permitting a company to conduct a background check on you before they hire you. This signature allows the company to check your criminal background via your social security number. So rest assured, your neighbor cannot check your background because the social security number is not available to him/her. If, for some reason, the social security number would have ended up in your neighbor's possession without your consent, then your neighbor would commit a criminal act using it to check your background--so I doubt if your neighbor is that brazen---and if your neighbor would be in the field of investigation and conduct a background check on you--again, it would be a criminal act, jeopardizing the livelyhood of that neighbor. What I think is that this is just rumors--I mean, you can go on the internet and try to find people, but as soon as it comes to more than general things(i.e. adresses,phone numbers,place of employment etc.)can it get very difficult. I for once, have a telephone number that is not listed in directory assistance and phone books so to find me, my adress, etc. would be rather difficult. I hope this puts your mind at ease somewhat....
