Drink a quart of buttermilk and eat five bananas just prior to being hooked up to the machine. Then when you are asked a question tell the truth. Trust me on this, I've yet to see this method fail.

The reason why they work is because they measure things that you can't control. Your body responds in various ways that the machine records when you knowingly lie. If you tell your story to the polygrapher before the test, he will word the question in such a way that you can honestly answer it. Normally he will say something like... "other than what we discussed earlier or other than what you told me about such and such... is there anything else that... - that you didn't tell me or trying to hide? That way you can say no without having anything in the back of your mind that you're worried about.

think of a question where the honest answer is the same as the answer to the question you want to lie about, and focus entirely on that first question

practice by getting someone to ask u uncomfortable questions and try to be as calm and as normal as u can be. the polygraph can tell if ur lying because when it asks u a question, and u lie, u get all nervous and shaky, and it detects that in ur brain waves. so be calm when lying!!! good luck

Why take it....are you being forced to....they are not allowed in court, so why sweat it...it's pretty much irrelevent if you are talking about legal outcomes.

Tell the truth. There are somethings you can do to change your stress levels during the polygraph.. but it's nothing you can learn over night. sorry

the fact that you are worried about it will make you fail unless it is going to land you in jail tell the truth...you have to believe in yourself and believe you are telling the truth

When you tell a lie, you have to actually believe that you're telling the truth. For example, if someone asked you if your name was Harriet, and you wanted to lie and say "yes", then you would have to THINK that your name was actually Harriet. I hope that wasn't too complicated. Good luck!

I heard that if you think of something else in your head while the examiner is asking you a question that you don't want to be truthful to, you think about and answer it instead ,you can beat it.

For ex. the examiner asks if you ever got a speeding ticket you have but you want to say no, so you think to yourself have I ever been on the moon, then you say no.

Just a theory, never tried it myself. Good luck though!

just act totally natural, dont focus on penalties. i have heard that the whole reasons why villains (not that you are one) get away on polly's is that they have trained themselves not to have any feelings. they dont feel scared, or sad, or sorry for what they did. im curious why you should be taking one.....

Get yourself so worked up that the test would have to be considered invalid.

If they can't get a good reading on the control questions, they won't be able to figure out the real questions.

i assume the poly is for law of some type . the poly checks for reactions . try going over in your mind what it is thats bothering you. if you go over it enough your nervousness will subside because you have gotten over the shock of what your afraid to tell and you will not react so sharply on the poly

Beating a polygraph test is easy provided you can control your emotions and not get stressed out when asked a question about which you need to lie. Being confident and unfaltering in your responses is the only way.

oh yea i am the master at these do u know how many things i got away with this test??

1.just relax and keep calm
2.don't show no signs of being afraid
3.when they ask you a question just think in your mind what makes u happy or what u will probably do tomorrow.think of something so ur mind can be active and distracted so the polygraph can not pick up the signals in your head or body
