...I want to study abroad and one of the requirements is getting a criminal background check... so... um. How... would I do that? Um, I asked my friend and told her that I had Live Scan Fingerprinting in the past (to work at a preschool) and she said that that has nothing to do with anything, haha, but she doesn't know where to get one either. I'm in California... if that... changes any answers...? I'd appreciate all help: thank you!

Call first to check on their policy, then go to either your local PD or Sheriff's dept. Normally, time permitting, they will be more than happy to accommodate you. May be a small fee. |

Go to your local sherrif's office, and they will direct you from there. There is a small fee associated with getting a background check where I live. |
