What should i do if the people i work with expect me to always clean up after them? *example: i work at olive garden with a bunch of spoiled rotten servers who think it is perfectly fine to leave trash in the areas that i have to work in. Keep in mind i make bread, desserts, cash them out, and run food to the tables they are working whenever they fall behind without being asked. I bust my *** every night to make sure these people have what they need even though half of the services i offer them are not in my job description....so it's hard to feel more than a little insulted when they throw trash in my check out area or in my supplies area. (especially when the trash can isn't even a foot away from these spots) On top of just trashing my area they always fuss at me whenever i'm unable to go the extra mile to help them because of my own job requirements....* *Also keep in mind that i've aready tried leaving notes for them asking them to "please throw trash in trash bin" only to find rude notes tacked on to them or to have them thrown away and be told "You get an E for effort but no one is going to notice them or care because we are all too busy." *oh yes!! one of the servers actually said this to me word for word* *Also i wouldn't be asking if only a few people did this......a bunch do and it has gotten to the point that all the time i spend throwing away the garbage and relocating the money books, menus, trays, glasses, coasters, and dirty dishes; i could be writting a novel or better yet GETTING MY WORK DONE SO I CAN GO HOME AT A DECENT HOUR!!!
