How do you feel about rapists?

I think they should all be sent to Texas where they can be lethically injected, especially the ones that prey on children and older people. Once I had a sweet little neighbor who was 72 and a man broke into her home and raped her. She only had her screen door locked as she was watching the ball game.They never found out who did it, but rest assured God will get him. It completely ruined the rest of her life. We often thought if she had a fire she would burn up before anyone could get into her house through all of the locks. God rest her soul.

Real rapists sure. Put them to death People labled rapists because of age of consent or because the chick claims she "said no" no way. Real rape is when you force someone to do something either at knife or gun point, or break into a house etc.

Throw them in federal pound you in the *** prison and give them a taste of their own medicine. Even prisoners look down on rape as a pretty horrible crime.

I believe that they should all be at least put in jail for life if not killed.

How would we know if they change unless we free them and allow some time to pass? Is that a chance we want to take? Most of them, like pedophiles do not change, they get out of prison and go right back to their ways.

Gosh - this is a tricky one. To be honest, I don't agree with the death penalty at all. But what is a fair punishment?
There's nothing that he can do that will ever make up for what he has done to you and he has to live with that.
Definitely jail time is justified and careful monitoring on release to ensure public safety.
For you, I think it is important to try to move past the anger, and know that not all guys are the same and some will want to protect and cherish you.

I feel very angry at rapists. And also sad for their victims. I've read several fictional books about it, and that has taught me more about stranger danger than I'd ever care to know. [I'm 14]

Because they don't often get convicted or even go to court, they don't go to jail. I haven't experienced it personally, but I can say without biased opinion that their offense isn't extreme enough for them to be given the death penalty. If they change and never do it again (very doubtful, as most men who rape do rape again) I'd still want them to go to jail for the crime.

i dont believe in the death penalty,
what if your brother was put to death for what he did to you. im sure you would be sad but also angry and resentful. his still your brother. he should be put into jail and never put into the public eye again.

i dont believe they should be put to death, my father was imprisoned for almost fourteen years because of it..he got out twenty years early...
people make mistakes...let them do the time and then go on..some people change..those who don't will just spend more time in lockup

I think death is too severe a punishment but they should be chemically castrated so that they may never repeat their offenses.

WHAT A DUMB *** QUESTION!!!!! I am sorry about your situation! Rapists are weak pieces of $hit!!! They should get raped themselves!!!! Change and never do it again??? That is like when murder's kill a couple people, go to jail and then find God. Give me a break!
