How do you feel about the police?

i think your totally right! I'm like at the very end of my teens and from my point of view police are the lamest people with jobs. i swear if police see teens they want to see some id and get them in trouble right from the beginning. when it comes to young people its guilty with no chance to prove innocence as far as police care i'm with you! i swear police were just the loosers in high school and now that they have a badge its their revenge on the world! grow up police and start actually doing your job and stop being a nuisance to good people!

they spend too much time worrying about the small crimes instead of focusing on major crimes...i'd rather have potheads walking the streets than robbers or rapists

I generally reserve that sort of judgement for Kid Rock.

Maybe you don't like them - but that reason is for something that YOU did.

If someone is robbing your house, your Grandma is dying, your car is stolen...who do you call? Hopefully not the police since you hate them. That's called being a hypocrite.

They risk their lives to protect citizens and go through so much BS dealing with people. All I can say is God bless 'em because they make me feel safer.

Firstly, Police can't lock someone up for years, it has to go through the Courts and the legal system.

Secondly, What if that "mistake in their lifes" ruined someone else's life? - Should they not be punished? If they're not punished then surely there will be less reason to stop other people doing it, or the person may commit the crime again.

Thirdly, There will always be cases of police brutality, or of injustice. But you must consider the bigger picture. If there was no police then there would be a MASSIVE increase in crime - People would be living in fear.

Finally, let me ask you. What happens if you get rid of police, and someone murders/rapes/beats the person closest to you? Would you want justice? Would you wish the police could have been there to stop it?

I agree that cases of injustice, brutality etc. must be confronted and prevented, but you can't get rid of the police force because of some isolated cases - Nor would you want to.

Why should everyone get a 2nd chance...do we tell rapists they get 1 rape for free? do we tell the murderer they get to kill some one with no consequences? Do we allow the DUI guy to kill someone while driving and its OK?
The laws are in place to protect the innocent, not the law breakers, and if u werent stupid in the 1st place u wouldnt do the crime...no excuse is good enough.

I know someone very close to me who was wrongfully convicted pf a crime, so I understand the sentiment. But I am also glad they are there when I need them, too. When my ex bro in law got violent with my sis, I was so glad he was arrested and charged. So in some cases I am glad for them, in others I'm not. ~jess

Police form an inward-looking culture which believes that everyone not wearing a badge is deficient or debased by choice, or just plumb guilty of something, anything, everything. This fascist culture would cleanse the Earth of just-folks if it could.

I hate the police. Everytime I've been involved with them they have either tried to get me injusticely (is that even a word? lol) into trouble or done nothing about whatever happened to me.

I DO NOT like the police!!! They are soooooooo mean and yeah there is no justice sometimes and its so so so sad! I am afraid of the police. i feel like they are out to get me! cuz they are. they want to ruin the fun and they are mean mean mean mean ew ew ew ew but there are good ones. i duno
