How do you recover lost deeds of relatives due to closal of solicitors?

How do you recover lost deeds of relatives due to closal of solicitors?

I am wondering if there is any way in which deeds can be traced, because the solicitor's office which my grandmother gave it into has since closed down, and there seems to be no way of tracing them. Has this happened to anybody else, or does anybody have a suggestion as to how they can be found? Any help would be much appreciated.
