How long before the check I mailed in for a 10-125 (2b) citation in NYC is cashed?

Hey everyone,
About 2 weeks ago I received a summons for having an open container. No biggie. I mailed in my check with guilty form and summons, as is allowed now. But, nobody has cashed my check. So, I'm afraid something happened and now if I don't show up at court, i'm in trouble, even though I paid the fine.
How long would it take to cash this check? I don't get it. Just cash the check NYPD.

They could have it, and not have sent it for deposit yet. Simple cure. Call the district courthouse where you were scheduled to appear, and ask if they recieved your payment and have subsequently removed your name from the docket. If they say they have not recieved it, cancel previous check and reissue another, an possibly hand deliver. |
