You CAN go away for the maximum amount of time prescribed for the criminal charge to which you were originally given probation for.

Every criminal offense is assigned a legal punishment. Usually, that punishment is usually a range of punishment - from time-served to probation to maybe a year in jail (for a misdemeanor).

You need to find the offense to which you were sentenced to probation for. You need to find out what punishment the law provides for that crime because you are facing that punishment if you are found to have violated your probation. I don;t know how simply using someone else's account violates probation (assuming it was an unauthorized use of that account, that you stole and were charged with stealing).

The proof against you for this violation, the facts of the case for which you got probation, your criminal record and your record of compliance with probation in general - these are all factors that will decide if you get another chance and, if not, how long you go away for.

Word of advice - "juvie" is shorthand for any number of more accurate terms, such as "juvenile detention" or "juvenile corrections". your use of "juvie" suggests that you aren't taking it as seriously as you should. If you go into Juvenile Detention, it's going to make it harder for you to put your life back together. Being incarcerate is going to mark you in ways that I'd rather not say. I'm a career prosecutor who has spoken with many convicted felons, many having stories that sound very similar to your own.

8months - one year

Probably a year for the check fraud, plus whatever you would have for the original offense you were given probation for. Sounds like it might be the best thing for you since probation didn't seem to get through.

For starters, you could be facing a whole new case for the forgery. Meanwhile, it's important to understand that probation is basically a way of suspending whatever sentence you would normally receive for your crime in order to give you another chance. If you violate your probation, the probation is revoked and you now face a maximum of whatever sentence you would have normally received for your original offense had you not been given probation. Since you did not tell us your state or the original offense, we do not know what the maximum possible sentence might be.
