How long does it take to create legal documents?

by legal documents, i mean the documents that you need to fill out to state if u want to be cremated, organs donated, etc.
(interms of weeks/days)
and how much would it cost to hire the lawyers,etc to help you?

If you are talking about just organ donation itself, I don't believe it takes long at all.

If you are talking about a Living Will (which basically dictates to the doctor what you want in the event you cannot speak or incapacitated or in a coma, etc) or a Power of Attorney (which gives another person the right to handle your finances, estate, etc. while you are incapacitated), then you would need to consult with a Will, Trusts, & Estates attorney who can draft up these documents for you.
The time it takes for a Living Will and Power of Attorney depends on your assets and your wishes and your attorney.
As for fees - every attorney has their own prices (depends on where you live too), but I am sure you could google Wills, Trusts, & Estates attorney prices to get a range. |
