As an attorney I took the oath protect and defend the constitution of the United States and the State of California. I have read both, and still re-read both over many years. |

When I was inducted into the navy. I don't know about upholding it, but I never violated the Constitution. Yeah, I did read it in school. Freedom of speech, the press, right to peaceable assembly to petition grievances, right to bear arms, etc. |

Swore to uphold it when I enlisted.
Am old enough that we still studied it at high school when I was a kid. Studied it far more deeply at law school.

I did when I enlisted in the Marine Corps, done with that. I never read the entire constitution yet but I intend to. I will say that government today is definitely not upholding what I have read so far. |

God knows I will do my best to uphold the US Constitution, and yes, I have read it several times. My "oath" includes the 2nd Amendment which was put there to ensure that the people could defend our Constitution when the government violates it. There are millions like me. This is why 2008 was a record year for gun and ammunition sales, and 2009 is on pace to set another record. Those who wish to take our freedom will pay. |
