Ideally parents should be held accountable for a lot of their children's behavior, unfortunately that is not the case. This is now the era of parents expecting everyone else to raise, look out for, and care for their children, and if you don't you are the villian, not the unfit parents. |

Not enough. Yes, parents should be punished for what their children do or don't do. It is reasonable to expect the parents to have some control over their children. If not - they are lousy parents and need a wake up call. |

Currently, in most states, the only accountability is financial. But I am in favor of punishing both parents and children. If it is a "jail-able" offense, lock them both up for equal amounts of time. |
