If you are on government benefits,most of your child support will be used to pay the taxpayers back for supporting your child. You wil get very little of the child support payment sent to you.
Get a job,then you can keep all the child support.

Child support is meant to replace the income that your missing because the father is no longer there. Its not meant to live off of.

Child support is based on the two parties' gross income, so it would benefit you and your child if you were to get a job

i agree with the two answers above me. its about the kid, not you. people like you is the whole reason child support cases have became 50/50 on either side. it was a point where it was 100% all toward the woman. times are changing. men are getting more rights, thanks to ideas like yours.

Make TANIF your very last option. I know times are tough, but they could be worse on down the road. You have a two-year limit on cash benefits, after which, you will never be eligible again. Don't use them unless you have absolutely no other choice.
