i went shopping in the town just over a week ago, and was in a shop walking along and there was a rack full of scissors sticking out unproteced,
i never noticed because they were below waist level, and i got stabbed in the leg,as i walked along
my trousers were ruined lots of blood etc
had 1st aid off an assistant
manager said she would remove them straight away
and i took photos next day of my leg i also went the doctors.
health and safety went there 2 days later and they were still on display, they made them remove them as it could of been a childs eye blinded instead of my leg.
my solicitor is now on the case, but he hasnt said how much to expect
any ideas?

Presumably you will be entitled to any damages you incurred (ie, doctors' visits, new trousers, etc.) and maybe a small amount for your inconvenience. This is not a case that will make you rich. |

Nope, Sorry. Only your lawyer could tell you that, because he would have to study previous cases of a similar nature to ascertain how much was awarded at that time, in your jurisdiction. Give him a little time to do the research. |

Just have to wait & see Hopefully it will be a long wait as from your description of events ie photos H &S & solicitor called in You are part of the compensation culture that is helping drag the country to its knees |

Mixed emotions - I've rated the answer above as I broadly agree with it but at the same time, it was incredibly stupid of the shop to have scissors sticking out where kids could access them. |
