there have been no fatalities associated with Marijuana to date. and following your logic alcohol should be illegal because look at all the deaths it has caused.

You question is incomplete. But I agree with your thinking.

Weed should be legalized and regulated. Then the government can Tax it. If people can just grow their own it just creates another underground market that cuts the down the entire purpose of legalization.

Everybody would be buying it off the streets and growing it in their own back yard. Taxes would not be gained.
