You can drop out after grade 8, can't you? If you want to work at McDonald for a living, go ahead... |

Don't drop out. NO one is going to hire you if you don't even have the drive to finish something as stupid as school.
At least take the ged test before you quit. |

16, but many states will take your driver's license away until you're 18 if you drop out. |

well you have to be 17 to be emanicipated, but thats pretty difficult to do bc you have to prove you have enough income to independently support yourself and the courts are pretty strict...you have to be 18, a legal adult, to drop out of high school |

16, I think a few states might still be 18. The school system still bothers you though, in mycase it did. I didnt drop out, I just transferred to correspondence school where a school sends you full text books and tests and you just learn at your own pace but still get a high school diploma and they kept calling and making us send all this sht to the state education board, it was a headache. |

16 with parental consent.
Don't drop out, it will be one of the most important things in your life to have that high school diploma. It seems that having a GED is not enough, and employers actually look down on it, it makes you look like you were a quitter. |

i would advise not to my friend, i know its hard but think ahead, will you regret it?
do you want to do manual work your whole life?
think long and hard about it before you do it, it might be right for you, but it would be a much harder life |
