The degree to which criminals are treated is a direct reflection of the humanity afforded one's civilization. Some countries may not have the resources to house/feed many criminals, so laws are tougher and more stringent to make sure they don't have to imprison a whole lot of people. Others, like the USA, can afford to keep criminals in jail for 60 years, or more. I think they should be humanely treated, but definitely confined and away from society until they are reformed, or their sentences met. Remember, two wrongs never make a right. |

Well it really depends on the crime, but I think that it should be a rough punishment. However there should be sufficient evidence to prove the person guilty rather than wrongfully imprison someone. |

Depends on the crime completely, this is always a hard answer even for me because some people deserved to be murdered, but torture I definitely think should be moved up on the death penalty quicker. |

Properly - they should leave their human rights at the door when they go into prison.
Equally, it is easy to blame things in society for their behaviour - alchohol, no jobs etc, but thats a load of poo! |
