How should you plead on a minor civil infraction?

I got a ticket for failing to yield right of way, and i am taking it to court so i do not get points on my driving record. do i plead "guilty"? or do i plead "guilty with explanation?" i have no idea what to say. obviously i am guilty, but it doesn't seem right telling the judge that. what is the proper way to plead in a case like this?

thank you to anyone who helps.
Additional Details
i am talking about when the judge says HOW DO YOU PLEAD...what do i say.

The choices are guilty, not guilty or no contest. If you plead not guilty, this means you want a trial. Since you know you are guilty and don't want a trial, don't plead "not guilty".

If you plead no contest, it is the same as guilty when the judge sentences you for the ticket. The only difference is that if you had an accident when you failed to yield, the person you hit cannot say "see, they said they were guilty" when they sue you for damaging their car.

If you plead guilty, then the judge will sentence you to whatever is allowed in your state. Many states have programs that allow you to go to traffic school and have the case dismissed after you successfully finish the school. But first you plead guilty, go to the school, then the court "revokes" your plea and dismisses the case. But some states don't have these programs and the rules for them is different from place to place. In your case, you should probably ask the prosecutor about any programs that would be available to you if you plead guilty. Ask them before you step in front of the judge.

EDIT - what are you ranting about in your details? I don't see any stupid comments here, just people trying to figure out how to help you by answering your question. Geesh.

Well do you have a reason for doing this? Maybe you could ask to go to driving school instead of points, or if you have never recieved a ticket before you can ask to deffer it.
