How the stop and frisk works?

Hi I was stopped and search by the police.
while doing a search to learn why they will just stop and search me for no reason, that when i learned about the Stop and Frisk.
Now this describe that the officers should not go beyond patting me down, but i was search everywhere, all my pockets.
so how would i bring this to an officer attention that they can no go beyond patting me, when I'm randomly stopped?

It is a delicate issue if you try to tell the police what the law is. Most officers do want some guy on the street telling them what the law is. They have the upper hand, sorry.

In NYC, you could get your a** in a heap of trouble telling a NY cop what the law is.
