I honestly dont think that it should be allowed because some people dont really want to breathe in other peoples smoke.
Especially if there are children around. |

There's no reason to. I've been a smoker for 40 years but I really don't see any positive side to imposing my habit on folks that don't smoke.
I've been living with a public smoking ban in our area for 3 years. Its really no big deal. You get used to it. Trust me. |

Build your own public places and smoke there. |

Make smoking not hazzardous to peoples health. Good Luck on that LOL. |

People have gone through lots of effort to make it outlawed in most public places...cancer, second hand smoke, and asthma attacks aren't fun.
If you wanted to make it legal, I suppose you'd check with your local govermment concerning the process of passing legislation. I'm thinking you'd have to get so many signatures on a ballot, and follow an official process, so it could get included in the next local election. |

Remove the smoke, nicotene, and tar from cigarettes. |

If you could invent some sort of bag or balloon that could go over the end of the cigarette and keep all the smoke out of the public air, that would go a long way toward making smoking allowable in public places. Otherwise? Not much chance. |

Hire a lobbyist to pay off a government official with fancy gifts. |

Why would you wanna do that?
I think its great that you can't smoke in many places. Sorry to disagree, I just think its best for children and people with illnesses llike asthma and what not. Plus I know I wouldnt like to be passive smoking anywhere |

The first step is to enter into REM sleep. After that, smoking is good for your health and everybody loves smelling like ashtrays. |

it is fine unless you have a law against it... write your local congressman or just move to north carolina |

Move to Montana. People still smoke in the bars and casinos here because it is not totally against the law yet, especially in the little small towns. |

make an announcement in tomorrows newspaper on the front page "HEAR HEAR FROM THIS MOMENT ONWARDS MY HOUSE (ADDRESS) IS OPEN TO ALL SMOKERS AND ALSO PRIMARILY A PUBLIC PLACE AND A SMOKING PLACE.
PLEASE PUT OUT THE FIRE BEFORE YOU GET OUT OF MY HOUSE .
BEWARE OF DOGS ALSO."
I think that would do. |

That will not happen. |

I'm a non smoker and I think it's unfair to smokers since the people would not compromise over the bars and pubs. I would smoke where ever you want since it's your freedom. |
