Let the responsible students take an NRA safety course and give them concealed carry permits.
There are already about 24,000 gun control laws in the USA.
How many more do we need? Why do people keep screaming to all levels of government to pass more laws.
The country was a lot safer when everybody carried open.
Have you noticed that the states with the strictest gun control laws have the most gun crime?
And the states with lax laws have the least? |

Well, it is impossible to remove guns. You can outlaw them but they do not magicallydisappear. Outlaw them and it will be even more important that criminals carry guns because they know the distinct advantage that it gives them. Look at all of the laws we have on the books now and guns still find their ways into the hands of criminals. No country has outlawed guns and eliminated gun crime. The guns are illegal but they are still used in crime. |

Because we over-medicate our children with anti-depressants, which has proven risks of suicidal and homicidal behavior. |

1) it is easy to get guns.
2) there is no relaxed atmosphere.
3) copycatting. |

Ban gun free zones. |

Well if buying a gun is easy it might very well be that guns don't kill but people do, but unfortunately there are also a lot of mentally disturbed people, and you can't tell they have a mental illness just by looking at their face, so stricter laws for
arms sales are necessary.
By the way A high school shooting recently occured in Finland Europe, causing the death of several children!
So it's not always in the States ! |

There are major problems in our society to push people to this brink. Think about what is different about American culture from other industrialized nations. The answer is there. |

Two extreme solutions to this problem:
1) Arm everyone to defend themselves.
2) Disarm law abiding citizens except for the cops and the crooks, who will still have guns....just look at Mexico. |

Arm yourself, take the shooter down yourself. |

Train and arm all citizens. When you know that the rest of the room will draw down on you. You had better make your first shot count. Because by the time you empty your gun you will be dead. You will not get to reload. |

Well, if you want to stop "shootings", then take away all guns.
Then you will only have to deal with stabbings, stranglings, gassings, baseball bat attacks, sherikens, a sword or two now and then, possibly bows and arrows, blowguns?, lances?, --- no shootings though.
There are just as many murders per capita on the average in places with gun control as here in the U.S. Naturally those murders occur from the use of other weapons (or items used as weapons). |

Thank you for asking this, I asked it as well, so far I only got 3 decent responses...
I don't want to change the constitution and say ban all guns by any means...
but I also don't think EVERYONE running around with a gun in case someone starts shooting is just as ridiculous...
The solution may lie in stricter gun control, some kind of PSA on what to do if you find yourself in that situation... College and public places doing drills, and a prompt communication ability that alerts others in the area as to what is taking place...
It is really tragic... and needs to be addressed seriously..
Thank you for asking. |

Easy access to guns, taboo attitudes towards mental health, repressive culture, and very angry kids. |

How about gun control, gun buy backs, liscensing and enforcement mandatory test firing database of weapons and enforcement of proper weapons storage. Doesn't effect the right to bear arms ammendment just like use of automobiles your allowed but we got to know who you are. Surely only criminals would object? Keeping guns out of the hands of the disturbed and children.
Been a dramatic gun crime/death drop since Australia implemented gun control laws! |

'Cuz we do not have reasoned and uniform gun control laws in this country and we are a nation of paranoics and "Shoot first, ask questions later" types. If y'don't live in the UK, emigrate there: you'll live longer. |

OOOh Yes Thats It Yes!!!!

Hon its funny because am always thinking about this and I know for afact this year is going to be more shooting in school than in any other year as it was said by a physic she said this last year and it happend and she said it this year its going to be bad. But ithink that the president should give this more attencion and school too. |

Goth Skunk's attitude is the reason this keeps happening in that country.
The answer is not arming people. It is DISarming them.
Make gun ownership and sales illegal. At least then you have a starting point to work from of knowing that any weapons held are illegal. Then you give people 1 years just for looking at one. |

Either arm yourself, in which case a lot of people will still die.
Or remove guns from the civillians, in which case no one dies. Ever been to Canada?
The only reason guns exist in the constitution is because the civillians of USA are expected to protect USA from a second British invasion.
Guess what? The british arent coming, the 2nd invasion is cancelled... Sorry....
And you have the cojones to ask "why?".
Since 2000 there have been 21 shootings in the US.
But only two in Canada....
So yea... they do happen in other countries.... |
