She would not have the authority to overturn Roe v Wade |

I would wonder how on earth she was able to supersede congress and the Supreme Court.
She can't overturn it. She doesn't have the power to. |

A Vice President cannot overturn a judicial ruling. If she becomes President, she can appoint judges who may agree with her. |
|

Rocco
|
Well, by herself she couldn't and especially since she isn't a supreme court justice. |

Sarah Palin can't "overturn" Roe v. Wade because she is not a Supreme Court Justice. |

Sarah Palin cannot overturn anything..that is up to the Supreme Court..If you were pregnant in Alaska during the winter..you would wear scarves also and be covered up also. Personally I have seen too many pregnant women at the beach wearing string bikinis to ever condemn anyone for not dressing sleazy. |

I would have to say she was the single most powerful VP ever in history....more powerful than the Constitution even...
...since that's not the case...the rest is just rhetoric....surprise... |

I would feel that she must be the most intellegent person on this earth. Without a law degree, she would have been able to get the case in front of the Supreme Court and convince enough judges to over turn the ruling. Man, how smart a women would that take. |

Sarah Palin cannot overturn Roe V. Wade. |

Well... it's impossible to do that since she is on the ticket for VP. Even if she was president she couldn't do that!! But, if she did... I would be very very happy because abortion is legalized murder! Who's protecting the rights of that human being? |

If the Supreme Court overturned this decision, it would only mean that the federal government would not guarantee the right of a woman to have an abortion. Each state would decide for itself.
Most states would likely permit abortion. |

I would feel that all is lost. Roe vs. Wade was a HUGE accomplishment for women. It got rid of the "back street" abortions women had to face when dealing with an unwanted pregnancy and they are NOT taking into account how many women are raped and impregnated and forced to carry for whatever reasons. We, as women, have the right to chose what happens to our reproductive systems. HOWEVER, we should KNOW HOW pregnancy occurs and start taking responsibility for ourselves. Abortion is the chicken **** way out of a situation. So---that brings us to education in schools. But, that leads us to parents that don't want their kids to learn that in school. We have teenage pregnancy due to LACK OF PARENTING. The whole "it won't happen to me". Unless she is planning on rearranging the entire welfare/WIC program cause SHE was a bad parent...........well, sorry, but SHE is a MORON. |

As a man it would not effect me personally, but my heart would morn for all the women out there whose choice and in many cases a hope for a better life are ripped away from them. With something so personal and intimate as this subject I would hope that this the decision about whether to abort or not is left to the person that has to bare the burden of the pregnancy. I say if you sick religious people want to save a life then take the baby out and put it in your womb!!! You grow the thing if your so worried about it! Oh whats that? no one lining up to do that? I didn't think so. |

Well, my faith in humanity is low enough as it is, but that would pretty much zero it out. |

My answer would be two sided I would say yeah and then no. I believe the issue of abortion is very touchy. Abortion is for medical reasons not for birth control. Hello take something to prevent it or use abstinence. I really don't care for Sarah any way. I don't like republicans. |

Only the Supreme Court can over turn Roe V Wade. As VICE President, Sarah Palin would not even be able to nominate a replacement when a current justice leaves the court. PLEASE learn SOMETHING about how the US government actually functions.
That said, overturning Roe V Wade would NOT outlaw abortion anywhere in the US. What it WOULD do is allow individual states to pass laws that could outlaw abortion. While i believe it is likely, there is no guarantee ANY state would actually pass such a law. |

duh- Christ, you are stupid!!!! This can only be done by the Supreme Court. Just keep looking for hand outs from Hussein Obama.Get back to high school |

Just because people say they are against abortion the government can change or over turn Roe VS Wade. Congress would have to vote on this and the Democrats are in control..so Sarah Palin and John McCain
maybe pro-life it would take an act of Congress and the chances of that happening is zilch..so relax
I would be more concerned about this country is spending more then they are taking in ..I think both candidates are going to be in a lot of
trouble when the BABY BOOMERS retire..with the stock market
going down and revenue is going to be effected their will be a massive
deficit in the federal budget. Even with the end of all wars in Iraq and
Afghanastan it won't be eonugh to pay for the BABY BOOMERS retirements?
Social Security is failing and so is medicare and yet people are
demanding Universal health? In all the foreign countries Universal
Health is failing..so the US is failing economically..so no matter who
gets in Roe and Wade will not be overturned.. |

I'd be outraged. You never know why someone may need an abortion- maybe the mother's health is at risk, or some other perfectly justifiable reason.
Sarah Palin is not a Supreme Court justice, luckily, so this probably won't happen. |

i believe Stephen Levitt's theory... you should research into it... so if she did overturn it I believe we'd see the terrible consequences within the next 16-20 years...
i'm conservative btw |

thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
someone who sees eye to eye with me!!!!
That would be the best thing for our country. seeing that in the last
one hundred years, there has been over 1 billion abortions.
thats 1/7 of the living population. |

All we can do is wish she could to stop all the baby killers. Now they are killing live babies born perfectly healthy. Obama can be thanked for that. |
