We live in a society that prides itself on freedom of speech. I know there are those who think laws should be made to make this a crime. However, you can also make the argument that no one makes another person log on to a specific site ( such as MySpace) and e-mails from senders can easily be blocked. It's sort of like if someone is bullying you when you visit their house - you stop going there. I DO think laws should be enforced when it cease to be bullying and becomes threatening. |

Take away YOUR child's internet access.
Bullies have existed for eternity, why would technology change that?
Parents have the ultimate responsibility in their own homes. We need to quit pointing fingers at others and take responsibility for our own children.
When my son was a child (24 now), I did not give him a TV or computer to use in his bedroom. If he wanted to surf the net, he did it in the family room where I could see what he was doing at any time. My daughter (now 2) will be the same way. |

I think ignoring them is the best way to deal with it. Most of them WANT to upset someone, and any response to their bullying only encourages them. |

Ignore it It is not even worth trippin off of. If they gotta sit there and do that then they are obviously insecure about themselves. Don't even worry about it. |

The best way to combat cyber bullying is to switch off the computer. |

People should get over it. It's a fact of life that some people are bullies...
"Oh no, that person I've never met in my life called me a loser!" Who cares? |

Ignore it.
However you could easily ban an IP, sure it won't stop the activity, rather create a temporary inconvenience for the bully. |

Ignore, and report them! They only want to force an opinion on someone. Generally speaking, a bully doesn't have the ability to see another opinion! |

Its an interesting point because even though its not physical. when you are in with a cyber group and one of them starts spreading malicious stuff to all the others, you would feel that you are being violated .
It happened to someone I know. Its just as bad because you feel alienated . |
