Find answers to your legal question.

I'm trying to persuade someone of find a sense of ethics in his heart?

I stupidly made an investment with this seemingly nice guy who acted irresponsible with my money. Below is the Memo I'm sending to him. Is this a good persuasive memo? What changes might you make?

"I appreciate your help & support this election,
but I was disqualified at your negligence.
Was the BOE violating their rights? Maybe........but it was very unwise of you to refuse to follow their orders.

Not that you are legally obligated to do this,
but in good ethics, I am requesting one third of my money back. Since I gave you $300, that would be the sum of $100.

You are not legally obligated to grant my request, but if you realize that you acted wrecklessly with the money I gave you, I hope that you find in your heart a sense of ethics.

Your actions may have cost me ten grand, and the least you could do is give me back one third of my money."

Do not put "Not legally obligated" Twice. Just once. If he doesn't notice it then all the better. he may think u r gonna sue. However, if his actions cost you 10000 you better find a way to sue that fool!

Disqualified? I am not sure of the background to this situation, but it doesn't sound like the right word.

If this guy has cost you $10,000, then don't send a letter asking for $100. Definitely don't send a letter saying he has no legal obligation to you. Get some legal advice before offering to let the guy off the hook. I understand you're probably trying to be nice, but sending this letter could cost you a lot.
